Ski Season Pass for French resorts.
Most resorts open in early /mid-December, but get your Season pass as early as possible: they are usually for sale from September to October. However, it varies from resort to resort.
- Chamonix - Mont Blanc Unlimited - from 19 October to 30 November 1172 euros, after that 2070 euros ( 22-23 prices )
- Trois Vallees - Unlimited 3 Valle pass Euros ( 18-29 years old )
Enquire about Season passes with Blackout Dates - when there are certain days you cannot ski on the Pass, like Boxing Day or half term ( when it is trendy); this is well worth doing.
Working in France for the Ski Season
Your employer will help to a degree here, we hope. Remember now that we have had Brexit:
You will need a work permit if you are working in France for the Season, and even if you are not working and intend to stay more than 90 days, you will need a Visa.
You will need these 2:
- Seasonal Work Permit - you can't work for more than six months in 12 months but can renew this every year for three years.
- Long Stay Visa - if you are staying in France for more than 90 days ( also known as a "titre de sejour"
- Ski Instructor certification : if you are workingas a ski instructorthen you will need to have a "ski instructor certification" from the French Ski Federation (FFS )
- Health Insurance ( travel insurance ) .

Get this when you buy your Ski season pass in France ( you can also purchase it as a stand-alone). It is French Insurance geared to the local French resorts. It covers everything your Season Insurance does apart from repatriation. Get this as well as your Ski season insurance.
